Our aim is to release new version of 2BizBox every six months. All new releases will contain the bulk of new functionality. Occasionally we may release a minor version in order to fix problems that we find in our continuous testing.
Feature releases will be functionally-compatible with the previous releases. This means that you will be able to use the functions you used the previous version.
Bug-Fix Releases
2BizBox bug-fix releases are not scheduled. These only depend on the number and urgency of the bugs found or reported by our users between our Development Release on new products. Bug-fix releases will only contain the necessary bug-fixes without any new features. All new features will be tested and released in the Development Releases.
Bug-fix releases are numbered by incrementing the patch-level. So the first bug-fix release after 2BizBox 2.2 would be 2.2.1, followed by 2.2.2.
Development Releases
Our goal is to release 2BizBox Development Releases 6 months with minor vesion releases in between. The exact release dates depend on the functionality in the release and the development cycle. In situations where we are working large disparate and brand-new features we may need more times to work on the release.
The version number of a Development Release will be the version number of the next major release, ie. 2BizBox 2.4 will be followed by 2BizBox 2.5, and so on.
